The "aéroclub de Sologne" is very pleased to organise the 4th FAI women's world gliding championship from 6th to 22th July, 2007.

The teams will find on this website all the informations for the competition and those who won't be with us next summer will enjoy following the results of their pilots.

L'aéroclub de Sologne est heureux de vous accueillir pour le 4ème championnat du monde féminin de vol à voile FAI qui aura lieu du 6 au 22 Juillet 2007.

Les équipes trouveront sur ce site toutes les informations nécessaires à la compétition et ceux qui ne pourront pas être des nôtres l'été prochain, pourront y suivre les résultats de leurs pilotes.

This is the end ...

All the better things have an end ... After nine days of flight, the world champions 2007 are :

• in club class, Gil Spreckley 1T Great Britain, followed by Kathrin Woetzel BW3 Germany and Christine Grote 1M Germany ;
• in standard class, Sarah Kelmann S1 Great Britain, followed by Joanna Biedermann LOT Poland and Jana Veprekova JB Czech Republic ;
• in 15m class, Kathrin Senne SF Germany, followed by Anja Kohlrausch HP Germany and Anne Ducarouge CC France.

Too short ...

Weather conditions were better than expected (yes it can be possible !!!), so that all the pilots got back to Romorantin. We can notice that the best average speed was in club class with about 90 km/h for Kathrin on her Libelle BW3. The other winners are Sue on her LS8 KS in the standard class and Kathrin Senne on her ventus 2a SF in the 15m class.

Ac 1 - Pilots 0

The day of the Ac ... Ac came from south west and complicated very seriously the work of our pilots. Finally, everybody outlanded but not very far away from the airfield.
